“Nothing is more important than your integrity.”

Jen Birk keeps a cool head when she’s surrounded by upheaval. Naturally empathetic, she has a flair for explaining the importance and benefits of change to people who are struggling to accept it.  Combined with her analytical nature, this gives her the ability to shepherd organizations through even the most challenging transitions with minimal disruption. Jen knows that change can be scary, but fear is not always a good reason to avoid something. She takes her own advice personally and despite being terrified of heights, she recently took the leap and tried skydiving.

Jen has a wealth of experience in nonprofit, corporate, and community engagements, with roles at IBM and the Oregon Organization Development Network where she continues to provide pro bono analysis, strategic advice, and visioning sessions for nonprofits across the state. She has a master’s certificate in organizational leadership from the University of Wisconsin, a master’s degree in conflict resolution from Portland State University, and bachelor’s degrees in Russian studies and German language and literature from Willamette University.
