"Surround yourself with great conversation; ask questions fearlessly and learn constantly."
Marguerite Svendsen knows a thing or two about grit. Whether launching a manufacturing startup or moving her family around the globe, she’s had to be the sole point for solving problems and driving issues forward countless times. She knows what it’s like to design your own solution because something’s never been done before, and she’s no stranger to overcoming dissent in order to achieve something remarkable. Marguerite believes that chaotic change is an inevitable stage of any living, breathing organization – and the key to navigating periods of transition is to have the focused vision and strength required to support your teammates through to the end.
Marguerite’s sense of discipline was honed as a collegiate track athlete and continues to develop as she rows before dawn on the Willamette river. She has over 15 years of project and change management experience within public to private companies, ranging in size from small business start-ups to multinational Fortune 500 conglomerates. Marguerite has lived abroad for many years in places as varied as Russia, Norway and Turkey, and she is now happily settled into a new home in Portland, Oregon. She has a bachelor’s degree in international relations from the University of Richmond and an MBA from the University of Oxford.
