Evaluating a Fast Growing Organization for Optimal Performance
The leadership at a large consumer product company sensed there were several areas of friction and inefficiency preventing a large technology organization from reaching optimal performance. Given the intense demands on the organization to expand its digital business and meet aggressive revenue projections, it was critical that the organizational problem areas be fully assessed and that a path be created toward resolution. Our team worked seamlessly with senior level stakeholders on a rapid 10-week assessment engagement during one of the busiest times of the year for the organization. The goal was to assess the effectiveness of the organization and make recommendations to improve overall team performance.
Using a customized organizational and change assessment model, the team conducted in-depth research with directors, managers and individual contributors across a 1,000-person team to collect and synthesize hundreds of pieces of data into efficiency hot spots. Grouped into several themes, specific recommendations were made to raise effectiveness, including a detailed communications plan, scenario planning for changes to organizational structure, as well as counsel on refining HR, project management and financial dashboards.
